Two watch enthusiasts from the Black Forest
We, Simon and Stefan, founded Black Forest Timepieces because we love watches that tell a story. Vintage watches from Cartier, Omega and Rolex are built to last. Over the years, however, many of them have been neglected. We wanted to change that.
We choose watches we would like to own ourselves, have them brought back to very good condition and sell them honestly: with clear photos, accurate descriptions and real people to talk to.
Every watch passes through the hands of our watchmaker
Before a watch comes into our shop, it lands on the workbench of our certified watchmaker. She first checks the authenticity and the condition of the movement. Then the watch is professionally disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and fully serviced.
Quartz movements are comprehensively tested and precisely set, mechanical movements are overhauled and regulated. Only when everything runs flawlessly does the watch move on to refinishing.
Our quality process

1. Inspection
Authenticity, movement, case and dial are examined closely.

The watch is disassembled, cleaned, serviced and precisely adjusted.

3. Refinishing
Case and components are refinished and polished. Vermeil models are re-plated with 10 micron 18K yellow gold.

4. Final check
Before shipping, we check every watch one last time. Then it is sent to you fully insured.
